Hi there, The only way you can upgrade from Basic to Platinum is to remove Basic and then install Platinum. There's no software upgrade path possible, as they're quite different programs. I don't know what your 'Roxio bonus CD' is.

Can you tell me more about it? How did you get it, and what is is supposed to do? If you are an owner of 5 Platinum you still have rights to use it. It's just you need a Platinum installer disc or a copy of the old 'ESD' electronic software distribution (on-line sales version) software to install it, after you remove Basic.

Even if you did buy Version 5 ESD on line (and you've indicated you didn't) I don't think you'll be able to get another copy of that from Roxio since version 5 has been 'unsupported' for quite a time now.
