Honda Fit Front License Plate Installation

Same thing with my GE. I took off the pront plate holder only to find the same hole.

I was pissed. Why does it require 3 fasteners to hold it on? I think the two on the bottom would suffice. As far as a solution goes you could either put the plate holder and plate back on, take the screw out and live with the hole, see if a 96-00 civic license plate hole blockoff won't work (depends on what color your Fit is), or get a brand new front bumper (that's only if you're made of money and absolutely can't live with having a hole dead smack in the middle of your bumper). I find it outrageous that people would accept this terrible service.

Why are they even putting that third bolt there in the first place? Did you ask them to do that? It's like advertising or spam. Don't put up with it. Take it back the them and insist that they remove and fix it at their cost. Maybe if enough people do that they'll stop putting unwanted holes in bumpers. When I ordered my fit, I told them that I didn't want any plates, stickers or adverts put on my car & made them write that into the contract.

I recommend that any new buyers do the same. Gericom webgine xl drivers. Remember, you're the customer and it's your car! When I picked up my 2009 Fit Sport from the dealer, there was a front plate already installed. Closer inspection revealed that they did NOT drill any holes on the front bumper.

Honda fit front license plate installation instructions

New Genuine Honda License Plate bracket for the Front License Plate on 2009-2011 Honda fit. This works on the car named Honda FIT. It will not fit any other vehicle. This bracket is built by the same manufacturer who built your car. This is a genuine part.

Fit

The license plate bracket they used bolted under the upper part of the front bumper. Once I got home, I immediately removed the said bracket, and have been driving w/o my front plate since Sorry for you guys who has to deal with holes mykeI got the same kind of bracket- no holes in the bumper!!

But I'd rather keep the CHP and Martinez PD off my case, so have the front plate installed. In Idaho, gotta have two plates, one on each end.

The general cop philosophy has changed from 'to serve and protect' to 'write as many tickets and make as much money as possible'. The butt-ugly front plate is a garaunteed fine. Another fav is 'failure to signal a lane change or turn'. Pull out of a parking lot without signaling, at any time of day (even 3am) with any type of traffic (including NONE at 3am), its an instant $78 ticket and TWO NIGHTS of freeking traffic school. That YOU pay for!!!!!!!! One good thing about the front plate is that it protects a few square inches of the AC condensor. Grasshoppers were really beating mine up until I screened it.
